Welcoming Grosky. Abuse of Gucci. The drop.

I’d love to open up my weekly newsletter this week by giving a warm welcome and introducing you to Grosky, part of our Valuart fam.

Grosky is the alter-ego of Allegra Gucci, daughter of Maurizio Gucci and Patrizia Reggiani who has just embarked on a creative journey, to tell the Truth about her Life and Family through her artwork….And we could not be prouder to accompany her along the way!

On Sunday, March 27th, Grosky minted her first NFT on SuperRare,“Abuse of Gucci”.

With “Abuse of Gucci”, she was able to highlight the Hollywood system, that more than often takes advantage of personal lives by creating their own fictional version of private stories, with no respect to the impact this may have on the directly interested.

But March 27th was not just a day like any other: it was the date of her father’s death, which also happened to coincide with the Oscars this year. The perfect date to release this first work of art to commemorate her father, but also to shout out her Truth – A Truth that becomes collective: we must leave a sign of Truth now, in order to lay down the foundations of a better future for our children.

On Sunday, we also had the opportunity of holding our first Twitter spaces together, where we held an intimate and powerful conversation about these false aspirations today, and how we can and need to act up now for a Truthful tomorrow.

If you missed it, no worries because you still have the chance to tune in here:

P.s. Stay tuned for a very special interview coming up…

What has been going on in the crypto world this week?!

Finally, after a long wait, BTC has hit $48,000, and is making us all feel very bullish.

But that’s not all, it also reached its ATH of holders that had not happened since October 2020.

However, if on one hand we are bullish, on the other somebody else is having a harder time: Axie Infinity’s Ronin bridge has been reportedly breached for over $600M, breaking the record for the largest hack to this day. (Everytime we think we are witnessing the largest hack, another hacker never fails to surprise us 😉 )

On Axie Infinity’s official Discord and Ronin Network’s official Twitter thread it was announced that the Ronin bridge and Katana Dex had been halted after suffering an exploit for 173,600 Ethereum (ETH) and 25.5 million USD Coin (USDC), worth a total amount of $612 million at the time of the exploit.

Apparently, the attacker used hacked private keys in order to forge fake withdrawals, draining the funds from the Ronin bridge just through a couple of transactions. But the craziest part is that the hack occurred on March 23rd but was only to be discovered this Tuesday, March 29th, when a user was unable to withdraw 5,000 in ETH.

At the time of writing the dev team stated they are “currently working with law enforcement officials, forensic cryptographers and our investors to make sure that all funds are recovered or reimbursed. All of the AXS, RON and SLP [tokens] on Ronin are safe right now.”

We’ll see how this one unfolds…

The NFT space again hits sky-rocketing sales records: XCOPY released an open edition art piece last Thursday, raising millions of dollars in 10 minutes.

The sale for “MAX PAIN” opened at 22:30 UTC with a limit of just 10 minutes to mint an NFT, and no maximum limit on the mintable amount. In the end, a total of 7,394 NFTs were minted at $3,108 each, reaching a sales-velocity record within the space.

“MAX PAIN” may not be as rare as other pieces of XCOPY but either way, those who minted the NFTs are already seeing a return on investment, with a floor price on OpenSea at the time of writing at 1.125 Ethereum ($3,559).

Izzy’s Book Club

Last week, I suggested purchasing Bitcoin Is Venice: Essays on the Past and Future of Capitalism, by Allen Farrington and Sacha Meyers.

As much as I would love to review it completely this time, I will have to do it next week since my book got delivered a little bit later than expected. But 100 pages in…I strongly recommend it!!

Till next week…
